Boyd Lake State Park has more than 1,700 acres of water for the best in fishing and boating. The quality fishing will have you returning again and again. To catch some sizable walleye or trout, it is said that trolling a harness at about 15 to 25 feet will have them biting.

2. Fishing at Kettletown State Park, Connecticut

Anglers love coming to Kettletown State Park to experience some great fishing. A day of fishing here will get you outdoors to enjoy the sunny days of summer. Lake Zoar is the fifth largest body of freshwater in Connecticut and itโs perfect for water sports and particularly fishing. 3. Wells Lake State Park, Massachusetts

The main attraction is the calm and scenic Walker Pond. Reserve one of the 60 campsites perched on a hillside with access to the water. Spend the day at the freshwater swimming beach, exploring the 10 miles of wooded hiking trails with a great view from Carpenter Rocks, and use the boat ramp to get out on the water to go fishing.

4. Meade State Park, Kansas
Common Catches: Channel cat, largemouth bass, crappie, and bluegill
Meade State Park has an 80-acre lake that offers prime fishing. With plentiful catches for anglers, the lake is surrounded by trees which give you some great shade for the day. Nature lovers can take some time out to enjoy the wildlife that inhabits the area as well as the multitude of birds, grasses, and flowers.
