3. Gifford Pinchot State Park, Pennsylvania

Park visitors can go ice fishing, ice boating, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. There are 10 cabins open year-round that sleep six or eight people. Cabins have bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a fully-stocked kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. 4. Boysen State Park, Wyoming
This recreation area is one of the largest state parks in Wyoming, named after the man who built the dam, Asmus Boysen. You can see the original dam near the tunnels in the Lower Wind River Campground. The park is a famous angler destination, with a wide array of fish to catch. This includes brook trout, bluegill, mountain whitefish, and many more. Besides great fishing, you will find wildlife watching at a premium. Escape the city life and all its stresses and find a peaceful vacation here.
Choose one of the three cabins on the river. You’ll find them at the upper Wind River Campground. They have a table and chairs, a twin over a full bunk bed, and a futon inside. Outdoors you’ll have a fire pit and picnic table.
5. Mistletoe State Park, Georgia
Head for a state park retreat where you will find a picturesque winter getaway. This park is situated on Clarks Hill Lake and is known as a fine fishing area. Throw in a line and hook a premier bass. The park also provides more than 15 miles of nature trails for those looking to enjoy the surroundings, watching wildlife, and exploring.
There are 10 cottages right on the lake, and five of those are log cabins. Because the park is on a peninsula, it’s great for watching sunsets and sunrises over open water.
